A international selling author, I was born in Vanderhoof, British Columbia, Canada in 1950; at the time, a small northern community of less than five hundred people. Absent today’s modern technology, I spent my younger years as most kids did back then, enjoying the great outdoors. Enjoying many sports, I, like most youngsters in the north, took to the ice, and hockey became an identifying factor in my life. Married in 1974, I have three children and two grandchildren, and still enjoy my time outdoors on Vancouver Island.

As you see, I have authored three books. The second, “Harmonicas,” has orgins that are closely linked to my pre-teen years in Northern, B.C. My grade four teacher, a spinner of yarns influenced some of the characters found in the magical forest that surrounds the kingdom of Harmonicas, the settting where the princess and the boys adventure takes place. (Fond memories of my teacher, Mr. Luck have never left me)

As much as I enjoyed writing the magical fairy tale, my first book, “Poor Man’s Justice,” was a more sobering experience, written through a necessary healing process. During a marriage breakup in 1991, while in the depths of depression, I assaulted another man. The history of my life over the decade that followed are detailed in depth in the book. Supported by court transcripts, both criminal and civil; correctional documents; diary notes, and taped interviews with individuals involved in the case, the book took close to ten years to complete.

My third book, “A Hateful Chill,” came with my love for writing. Someone who enjoyed reading mysterys that had terrific endings, I took the advice of another author and used my personal experiences to produce a realistic vision in the novella that would encourage completion in a single reading.
